SwordDancer asked:
youve all seen the movies about japan where they show big trees with pinkish/red flower petals falling from the tree.
what zone is it in?
can i grow that type of tree in central Montana?
what is the plant name?

Prunus Yedoensis, is the latin name and it does pretty well in zones 6 through 8 I think. It should do ok in Bute or Big Timber, but outside those areas, it might flounder. It is one of the fastest growers among cherries. There are several other varieties, some might be better suited.
