Osaka is 1 and a half hours away by shinkansen. Sumo is in Osaka from March 9th to 23rd.

Hounen Matsuri at Tagata Jinja in Komaki city is on March 15th. It could be interesting!

Hanada city has a festival in late March.

On the 28th, 29th 30th Dragons are playing Hiroshima Carp at Nagoya Dome. See :
