My Korg D3200 digital recorder\’s LED peak lights are all light red and solid. What does this mean?

I have everything unplugged. All the faders down and the trims down and the monitor levels down. The recorder still functions normally except that I can’t hear any output from my monitors. What could be wrong with my machine?
Correction, I do get play back from monitors, but only on old recordings. When I try to record new things I get only silence with an occasional crackle of the instrument coming through. This is true of multiple instruments on multiple jacks.
