bkgrapleomon asked:
Im a kiwi, livving in australia, and im planning on travelling to japan in december. The organiser of the trip told me to check if there are any rules on my passport expiring in 6 months for going to japan. My one expires in April, so do i need a new passport or can i get into japan with my current one?

If yo have an Australian passport then this apply to you,
As of 1 December 1998, Australians travelling with a valid Australian passport no longer need a visa if their purpose of travel to Japan is for the above activities and the proposed period of stay is no more than 90 days. The Australian passport must remain valid during the period of the stay but there is no minimum period of validity required.
You can contact the Japanese Embassy or Consulate from your location to get more information.

You won’t need a visa but you will need to renew your passport. Japan is very strict with their visa requirements. Show up with ledd than 6 months left of your passport and they will most likely refuse your entry.
