As i can only do it on the voice recorder but i want it on the mp3 player and the manual does not tell you any help please

For reference, this is the equipment I am hooking up:

* Audio Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser (Microphone)
* Tube MP (ART) Project Series [{with USB}] (Pre-amp)
* Samson SP04 (Shock Mount)
* XLR male to XLR female Microphone Cable (obviously that’s the cable)
* Atlas Sound MS25 Pro Mic Stand with Air Suspension Chrome (Stand)

What I am trying to do is get a basic ‘mini-studio’ set-up going in my closet.

(I do also have a sound card which I have no idea how to use in conjunction with this other stuff but which I’d like to make use of as it is installed in my computer, and I do have a multi-track recording program and a small space for recording. I do not have a mixing table and I do not have proper sound-proofing materials (yet), but we’ll come to that.)

Issue # 1: I just don’t don’t see how THIS MIC CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE MIC STAND, unless I am missing an adapter or the mic itself came with missing pieces?

Issue # 2: Soundproofing. Basically, what I did before was post that question in the link above. I bought all of that stuff – although I did have to buy a second preamplifier once I discovered it did not have a USB port and I’d need like 6,000 additional cables. Long story short, I never was able to make use of any of this equipment because I got a stupid boom stand for which the studio mic I got was too heavy? I still used the stand for recording but with a digital recorder taped on top of it (very ghetto, I know, but not the worst quality), and at the time the soundproofing wasn’t as much of an issue as the closet was pretty air-tight and I was living in a house where I could be as loud as I wanted to be.

Now, I have moved to an apartment where the building is apparently very poorly constructed, and even though I finally got a stand that I think should be sturdy enough for a condenser mic, I do not know how to hook it up and in addition I need to figure out a way to keep sound IN and OUT of my closet (which is to say I don’t want to be able to be heard by my neighbors, and I don’t want to be able to hear ANYTHING in there.)

I am using a fairly spacious storage closet. I don’t really know how to describe it but I have looked into that ‘green foam’ stuff and egg cartons and towels. I’m just not sure how to even begin to go about a thing like that, but if I can’t hook all the equipment up that’s not even an issue!

I will have a computer desk with the PC I will be using to mix somewhere next to the closet, and I am going to have to run cables into the closet from outside.

Somebody help me get set up! I would greatly appreciate it, and I don’t know of any professionals I could call to help with this sort of ‘installation’.

I want to start making my own commentaries if I record my voice with a voice recorder, then edit the videos that I could upload from video games that allow you to upload games?

Want to record sounds on my Sony IC-digital recorder, but having trouble figuring out which cable is needed to attach it to my RODE NTG-2 microphone. Any help on how to connect the two is greatly appreciated.

I want to record some music from one of my video games (on Xbox if it makes a difference) and post it to Youtube. How do I record it like the people on Youtube do? I just want the music to sound smooth as if listening to it live instead of from some crappy audio recorder.

Yes this is for “ghost hunting” I don’t strongly believe either way, but i go to college, and a girl down my hall claims she hears whispering, and sees flitting images in her mirror. If it was anyone else but her saying this i wouldn’t give it the time of day… Also she did some Research, and turns out a girl actually hung herself in HER DORM in 1912… So im excited….

I want to know what the best voice recorder is. I want to record my nursing school lectures/classes on my laptop. Simply put I want it to record what the teacher says. I want to know what the different cost are for different programs. I have Windows, on a Dell inspiron 1525
