There are a lot of rock bands I love that are from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Like in the 60s, we had The Beatles, The Kinks, Chuck Berry, The Who and Jimi Hendrix. And in the 70s there were bands like Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, KISS, The Ramones and Santana. And in the 80s there were bands Guns N’ Rose, Motley Crue, Metallica, Def Leppard and Rat. But Pantera is the only rock/metal band that I really like from the 90s and rock music didn’t seem very active during the 90s because of grunge bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

I mean even in the movie, The Wrestler there’s a scene where two characters are talking about how awesome rock bands from the 80s are like Ratt, Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard and Motley Crue. And one of the character says “Then that Cobain pussy had to come around and ruin it all. I hate the f*cking 90s. 90s f*cking sucked.”

Ok, not really because I like my radio. But why do ”rock” stations play so much old rock? I feel like it’s false advertising. The so-called ”rock” station where I live, and the other ”rock” stations I’ve heard from around the country, play at least 50% old rock. Isn’t that what classic rock stations are for? Modern rock is so much heavier, more aggressive, has more attitude and actually has bass that you can hear. I wouldn’t even classify ”classick rock” as rock by todays standards. It’s pop with light guitars. Classic rock is so freaking boring it brings me to tears.

Hey everyone, I’ve always wanted to get a jimi hendrix tattoo for soooooo long and I am following through and getting it in a month or so… the only problem is I’m not sure what to get… The tattoo placement is already decided. I am getting it down my side on my ribs (i’m a girl).
I have 2 ideas:
1. Portrait of jimi’s face blowing smoke and the smoke will travel under my breast with the lyrics to one of my favourite songs; ‘ Bold as love ‘ written in the smoke.
2. Jimi’s full body with him shredding guitar and the lyrics ‘ The night I was born, I swear the moon turned a fire red ‘

honest opinions and suggestions and ideas are needed ! thanks in advance

Old Music vs New Music?

Hey here’s a debut on what music you prefer. Old considering 60s like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Cream, The Rolling Stones, The Who, T-Rex and Bob Dylan. 70s which had KISS, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Elton John, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, and James Brown. The 80s Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, N.W.A., Billy Idol, and Bon Jovi. 90s Nirvana, Tupac, Nas, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, The Notorious B.I.G., Pantera, Korn, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. And of course the new music like 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Eminem, Outkast, Beyonce, Rhianna, Slipknot, Disturbed, Audioslave, The White Strips, and System of a Down.

For me personal I prefer Old music. The reason why is because during 60s come on man jimi hendrix I mean come on dude. The 70s is enough said right there KISS, Led Zeppelin blow the ******* the stages off so did Black Sabbath and Aerosmith Stevie Wonder did also as well Elton John could sing his ass off. The 80s to me had dominated a generation Ozzy, The Crue, Guns, and Metallica took over the world I mean pure talented musicians in those days Michael Jackson and Prince took the music industry by storm following the whole glam stuff going on yea you people know what I mean. And of course the 90s when the Settle Grunge rock movement came along to play bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam nothing could go wrong there plus Tupac and B.I.G. was making some cool music too, such as Pantera the most heaviest band of the 90s, and of the whole rap rock and nu metal genre like Rage The Against, Korn, P.O.D., Faith No More and Kid Rock I mean OH MY ******* GOD the old music had such a amazing impact on people. Personally I don’t like the new **** thats out today most of the artist use computers to make music and sell there albums. To me its the most easiest way to become an successful artist. And the majority of rappers these days take no STEAL good music and sample it on to there songs on mean the **** man are you serious.

But anyways what do you prefer Old or New? And why.
